Abstract:

The presentation will discuss the idea of the Virtual Therapeutic Garden applied in the VRTierOne medical device. The device was developed as a result of a research and development (R&D) grant, funded by the Polish National Center for Research and Development with the support from the European Union. The effectiveness of the device (mood improvement and decrease of the level of stress and anxiety) has been verified in clinical trials in the course of cardiac, neurological and geriatric rehabilitation.

Professor of health sciences, physiotherapist, certified psychotherapist of European Association for Psychotherapy. Member of Polish Academy of Sciences in the 2016-2019 and 2020-2023. The Founder of the Foundation for Senior Activation in Wroclaw (Poland), where she provides mental health promotion programs. She conducts individual and group psychotherapy for people experiencing health problems, psychosomatic symptoms, depressive-anxiety disorders.
